Alarming Statistics

Mental Health Challenges in Young Men

Recent data from the World Health Organization (WHO) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) have revealed a troubling trend in young men’s health:

  • Nearly 6 million American men regardless of race, ethnicity or income brackets, experience depression annually, yet most remain undiagnosed

  • 80% of all death by suicide are by men in high income countries

  • Factors such as societal expectations from adolescence, stigma, situational stressors or life transitions play a significant role in the rise of young men’s mental health challenges

  • 2:3 men are less likely than women to seek therapy or help

By acknowledging that mental health is a important as physical health, we can begin to break down barriers and encourage awareness and conversations.

Beyond Your Station is a transformative community crafted to champion the mental well-being of young men, spanning from age 18 to 35.  Our mission centers on catalyzing open and candid discussions around modern masculinity, mental wellness, diet, and fitness. As society’s tides shift and traditional norms evolve, we’re here to ensure every young man feels empowered, understood, and equipped to navigate life’s multifaceted challenges.
